Julia writes: I can still remember the feelings of excitement and anticipation I had before walking into the Oval house arts centre. It was during the 70s in the summer holidays and I along with about 16 other children from the Kennington Park Estate would spend our days watching and participating in shows. It was a magical time full of wonder, terror and excitement. With the bright lights, smell of grease paint and the budding young actors and performers. Jim was our hero, I was captivated by him. He was magical, mysterious, funny, caring and protective. Everything you would expect in a leading man.
